Wardah Sun Care Sunscreen Gel Review
Finding a good
sunscreen in the drugstores is no easy job, trust me. I’ve been going through
the drugstore for years now trying to find a sunscreen that’s not only budget
friendly but also works and non-crappy and I think… *dramatic drumrolls* I
might find the one that hits my two major criteria. If someone were to put a
gun to my head and tell me to only use this sunscreen for the rest of my life,
I have no complaints.
To be honest, it really
surprises me that I liked this because when I was messing with the tester for
this sunscreen months before I bought this, I thought I won’t like it but when
I was like going through Watsons last year, looking for a sunscreen, I decided
to grab this without much thought. I mean, you really can’t be mad at it
because it’s a lot more affordable than any other sunscreens. This is just 12.10
at Watsons! So, if you’re a student like me or on a very tight budget, this is definitely
a steal. And don’t think that you’re paying for more affordable sunscreens, you’re
sacrificing your skin or something because my skin is… I’d like to think it’s
very sensitive because it does react to things from time to time and it didn’t react
negatively to this sunscreen even though fragrance is in the ingredients list
(Not that high up btw). As for tackiness goes, it’s not as tacky as most
sunscreen even though it’s not really a gel. The name is kind of misleading and
I wouldn’t call it a gel because it’s thicker, not like cream thick because you
can still spread this around but you need to work it in more than a gel. This
sunscreen also comes in a more ml than most sunscreen. It’s 40ml, so very travel
friendly and could last for 4 months I think. I used this at the end of
December and only now, I’m about to run out. I also really love the finish of
this sunscreen! If you’re someone who prefers matte look, then you might not like
this but if you like me and you don’t wear base makeup and love glowy skin, you
will love this!
(The texture of the sunscreen)
As much as I don’t want
to say anything bad about this sunscreen, you know me… I have to nit-pick about
every products I came across. Like I mentioned before, if you’re expecting the
texture of this to be that of a gel, you will badly mistaken because it’s not.
Some people can work with it, some can’t. Also, if you don’t properly blend
this sunscreen, it can leave a slight white cast. Not so bad but I think it’s
noticeable. BUT, I feel like the good outweigh the bad for this product so I’m
willing to look past the minor hiccups.
Would I repurchase? I’m
currently testing another affordable sunscreen BUT I would add this to
repurchase list. My skin loves this so I don’t see why I won’t be going back to
it. That’s all from me, bye~
