Canmake Quick Airy Eyebrow (01) Review
I’m not born with the most luscious and
fullest brows in the world. They’re not that bad but they’re sparse and you
know, Asian-ny brows like (Is this even the correct term for it? Hopefully you
get the picture). So, I always need some sort of brow product to make my makeup
look more put together and at this point, I tested a lot of different kinds of
brows products out there except pomade because the concept of it never appeals
to me but I’ve never seen anything in the market quite like Canmake’s Quick
Airy Eyebrow. I don’t know what possessed me to buy this (as usual, I need
help.) but I did and have been using this for months now and I think it’s time
I share my opinions on this. I couldn’t find much reviews on this product so I
decided to became everyone’s sacrifice and test it out whether it works or not.
This
isn’t the first Canmake brow products I tested and I need to mention that I did
tried their Eyebrow Jelly Tint in the shade 01 and absolutely adore it from the
finish to the colour payoff to wear time, love it and was sad when I couldn’t
find it on Guardian’s pharmacy website and Hermo still haven’t restocked it.
So, I decided why not give another brow product from Canmake a chance. They
both launched from the same collection and are meant to be used together so, I
thought lets.
The applicator
Right off the bat, I will say I
don’t know how I feel about it still. It’s been months now and I think I’m
almost running out but I still can’t come to conclusion on how I feel about it.
Because of it’s packaging, this product comes in a loose powder so if you drop
them like me so often, it will not break. And can I give Canmake a shout out
for a great colour pay off? I don’t know why but it’s so hard to find brow
products in the drugstore that suits jet black hair. Either they end up looking
too harsh and dark or too red and it really grinds my gear but with Canmake, it
really looks natural when I’m wearing this so thumbs up to them for nailing the
colour well. The staying power of this product is more impressive and long
lasting than most brow products I tried from the local drugstore. Obviously,
the jelly tint is better because it’s a tint BUT I noticed that even though my
face still tends to get oily and sweaty after running around from hostel to
class, this does stay put and even when you splashed your face with water, the
powder still sticks to your brow but a little faded so, not water-proof but
sweat-proof which is fine with me.
As always with me, with the good of
a product, I’d always try to find fault with it. I’m sorry but it’s just how I
am, hahaha. In the intro I mentioned that this is different than the other
products I’ve seen in the drugstore. It comes in this loose powder, packaged in
this tube thing with a sponge applicator that’s meant to give you a finish of a
powder with the precision and ease of a pencil which I feel like if you could
get used to it with enough practices but if you’re a beginner and fairly new to
makeup, then steer away because even though the applicator isn’t bad, it’s also
easy to mess up and need I mention that if you go on a heavy hand or don’t
scrape off the access, you might end up with too much products and your brows
could look heavy. Also, I need to mention I always struggle on how to make my
brows look even with this, especially on days when I’m late and need to rush
out the door and I need something done super quickly. But even on normal days,
I did have to be careful with how I applied this so it kind of loses points
from there. Because it’s in a loose powder form, except some sort of mess to
ensues so if that bothers you… you know how you should feel about it. Lastly
the thing that makes me mad about this product is that there’s no spoolie with
it. No wonder my brows are uneven. I mean, it’s true that it is as soft as
powder but I still need to blend it in order to make it look more natural. I
just use my fingers though to blend things and that works just fine but still…
It’s not the worse brow product I’ve
tried because I can still work with it but I just wish it’s better, you know. I
don’t think I’d repurchase this but if you want to try it out, be my guest and
maybe it could work for you even better than it did for me. Bye bye~
